Good Eats: Nashville

Trying new restaurants is always a fun part of traveling. It’s great to try regional foods and drinks. Visiting Nashville allowed me to explore the city’s food scene. Let me tell you, Nashville knows what they are doing with music and food! Pin this post, so you can check out these top 5 restaurants when you explore Music City.

  • Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak - Located on the 34th floor of the JW Marriott. The restaurant overlooks Nashville. The views are great and the food is even better. This was by far the best meal I had during our trip. If you are a steak eater, make sure to add this spot to your list. You can’t go wrong with ordering sides and try and leave room for dessert! The Mac & cheese and the potato puree were my favorite sides. Reservations are required.

  • Biscuit Love is a local, family-owned business that makes incredible biscuits! Show up for breakfast or lunch and you’ll be one happy person. The restaurant is popular, so show up early if you can. The line moves quickly to order and food is made in a timely manner. Make sure to try the bonuts. These are fried biscuit dough that are served over a blueberry compote. Talk about delicious!

  • Casa Rosa belongs to Miranda Lambert. Her cantina also has a restaurant on the second floor. This is a good spot to grab a bite to eat. They do not take reservations so it is first come, first served. I suggest ordering the Mahi Mahi fish tacos. The tacos are topped with a refreshing mango salsa.

  • Hampton Social - A fun place to grab lunch before heading to Broadway. This is a rose bar that also serves food. I had the salmon and it was very flavorful and the cocktails were refreshing. I recommend eating on the 2nd floor that has a more mellow vibe. The 3rd floor has a dj and has great views of the Tennessee Titan’s stadium.

  • Milk & Honey is open daily from 6 am - 3 pm. Come with an appetite and be ready to enjoy some tasty food. They offer traditional dishes while adding a creative twist to many. The fried chicken biscuit was heavenly! They do not take reservations, so show up early or be ready to wait a bit. You can always shop in the area, while you wait for your table. The meal was definitely worth the wait.

When you’re traveling, how do you choose which restaurants to try?
