How it All Started & Where I'm Headed
Looking back at the summer of 2017, I am so happy that I took the leap and began Life in the Desert. A space to highlight travel, food and everyday fun from the desert. I remember my first Instagram post was a photo of a cherry cobbler, still one of my favorite summer recipes. After a year of blogging, I deleted my blog. I still can’t believe that I did that, but have definitely learned lessons along the way. I took some time off from blogging and restarted in 2019. What began as an Instagram account, has evolved into a blog, e-commerce shop and a podcast.
I love that I still get excited to highlight places to travel, restaurants to try and so much more with each of you! Thank you for your support over the years, it has made this small business adventure worth it.
What’s Ahead
I encourage you to continue to follow along on my everyday adventures in the desert and beyond. Budget travel, road trips and exploring more of Arizona are on my radar.A few DIY projects are also in the works and I’ll be sure to share all of the details with you. The Shop has expanded to include products from amazing vendors. I look forward to showcasing more Life in the Desert designs that I am sure you’re going to LOVE! As a small business owner, I have naturally been drawn to others that have their own business and have thoroughly enjoyed sharing personal stories on podcast episodes. These podcast discussions have made me realize how much I want to help other entrepreneurs with their businesses. I now have The Business Shop that has resources for small businesses. The Business Shop includes digital resources that are available to download immediately after purchase. Creating the digital resources led me to offer additional ways to assist small business owners. I now offer packages to help business owners kick start their online presence to managing email marketing and social media.
