Stay Cool this Summer with These Indoor Activities

It’s no surprise that many of us are looking for ways to keep cool during the summer in Arizona. I am forever grateful for air conditioning and find that many of us are a bit more fun to be around when we are in a comfortable setting. Take a look at this list of things to do indoors in Arizona.

5 Indoor Activities

  • Chandler - Did you know that SanTan Brewery & Distillery is the largest of its kind in the state? Learn about how beer is brewed during the tour of a 35,000 square ft. facility. Tickets are $15 and are 1 hour in length. Tours are available Thursdays - Sundays. You’ll even get to partake in a few tastings during your tour!

  • Glendale - Put on your roller skates and head to Great Skate! Roller skates and blades are $4.50 to rent. Entrance fees cary depending on events. There are several themes nights with great music to keep you moving around the rink.

  • Tempe - Get ready for a night of laughing until your cheeks hurt and purchase tickets to Tempe Improv. This is my favorite comedy theatre. Take a look at the calendar and see which comedians are performing. There are often two shows per evening, a 7 PM and 9:45 PM. Times vary depending on the schedule. Grab dinner and head to the show. Yo are bound to have a good time! This night of entertainment is only for adults.

  • Tucson - The Flandrau Planetarium is located on the University of Arizona campus. This is a great way for those of all ages to learn about a variety of topics and the science center and then view one of the films playing at the planetarium. There are some upcoming shows that feature laser light shows to Pink Floyd and Queen.

    • Admission fees:

      • Children under 3 years- free

      • Children 4-17 and those with a college ID - $7

      • Seniors and military - $8

  • Yuma - Plan on getting a workout at Get Air, a trampoline park. Purchase your tickets in advance and you’ll save yourself some money. Jump socks are required, so bring them if you have a pair. If not, you are able to purchase socks upon arrival. Rates are dependent on height.

Have fun and make the most of these warm months in the desert!
