Hiking Telegraph Pass
Telegraph Pass is a very popular hike in Yuma, Arizona. This is a great hike for locals and visitors of all ages. Each time I make this hike, I am always amazed by young kids and those older than me racing up the mountain. It’s quite motivating. Many locals use this trail as an outdoor training facility.
The trail from the parking lot to the base of the mountain is moderate. The trail then turns to pavement at the base of the mountain. This is where the hike switches gears and increases in difficulty. The pavement gets pretty steep, but listen to your body and stop when you need a little break.
Once you get to the top, take a moment to catch your breath. Head over to the bench and sign your name in the book. Then take in the views of Wellton and Yuma. On your way down the mountain, make sure to watch your step. You can definitely count on a great workout when hiking this trail.
