As you know, I’m a big fan of weekend getaways. I have a great list of places for you to visit and you can see it all in a weekend when visiting Scottsdale, Arizona. This list of places to visit will leave you feeling inspired!
Where to Stay
I suggest staying in Old Town Scottsdale at the Canopy by Hilton. It’s a hotel that just opened a year ago and is in walking distance of all you need. The hotel has a great restaurant with healthy menu options and a roof top bar that’s worth checking out in the evenings.
What to Do
Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience - I’m a huge fan of Vincent Van Gogh’s work and have enjoyed seeing his artwork in museums over the years. When I heard about this new way to see his art, I purchased tickets quickly. This experience brings Vincent’s art to life and I hope even more people appreciate his work. Make plans to experience the exhibit. Check out all of the details for the Phoenix exhibit at goghphoenix . The exhibit will be in Scottsdale through November of 2021.
Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West - This hidden gem is located across the street from the Canopy by Hilton. The museum is an affiliate of the Smithsonian and captures the history of the west. The art collections in this museum are extensive, colorful and historical. This is a great stop for school age kids too, ask about the kids scavenger hunt.
Taliesin West - Let’s just say this was the highlight of the weekend! Taliesin West is a National Historical Landmark and was the winter home and desert laboratory of Frank Lloyd Wright. As soon as you have your weekend selected, make sure to book these tickets! Take the guided Insights Tour, which lasts just over an hour. You will be entertained by the stories of Frank Lloyd Wright and mesmerized by his designs.

Barrio Queen - Treat yourself to authentic Mexican food and tasty margaritas!
Farm & Craft - This restaurant is just across the street from the Van Gogh Immersive Exhibit and features a fabulous menu! Give the Fried Farro Bowl a try, I think you’ll love it!
Sit down for breakfast at the Canopy Hotel and order the avocado toast. It’s sooo good!
