Celebrate our Planet & Parks
I love that the National Parks Week and Earth Day always coincide. Both celebrations inspire us a little more to take good care of Mother Nature.
While many of us wish we were out and about this week, your plans are mostly likely a little more low-key. I’ve rounded up a few fun activities for you and yours to check out this week.
Become a Junior Ranger - Kids can participate in online activities and become a National Park Service Junior Ranger. Click here for the details.
Get cooking - Make these Earth Day cookies. This recipe calls for minimal ingredients and they only take 30 minutes to make. A tasty treat to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day.
Spring Clean - Take a walk around your neighborhood and pick-up trash. You’ll be amazed at what you find. You can even record the amount of trash that you collect here.
Tune In - On Wednesday, April 22nd, check out the official Earth Day activities that allow you to participate from home.
Virtual Visits - Is there a park that you’ve been dying to visit? Or maybe you have a favorite park that you just can’t wait to revisit? Either way, click here to explore all that the National Park service has to offer for a digital experience. Fingers crossed that we’ll all be able to get out and explore before too long.
Enjoy the week and I encourage you to make a change to help our planet. Even the smallest changes, make a big impact.
