Cooking Essentials

I enjoy spending time in the kitchen and creating delicious food. My family is a good sport, (most of the time) to give the meals a try. While, I often follow a recipe I am slowly, but surely putting my own twist on meals. Our family definitely has our go-to meals which are spaghetti, barbecue chicken sandwiches and tacos. I add produce to the dishes and we call it a meal.

My Favorite Products in the Kitchen

I’m sharing some of my favorite cooking essentials that are great for cooks at all levels. These products are useful and practical. The bright colors add a little fun, too. The silicone spatulas are easy to clean and essential for mixing ingredients. I can’t recommend the color coded cutting boards enough! Using these cutting boards will prevent cross contamination when cooking. The produce storage containers keep your produce fresh, even after it has been washed. When I wash my produce and store it in the refrigerator, it saves me time later on in the week when I want to use the produce. The griddle pan has to be the most used pan in our household. Grilled cheese sandwiches, quesadillas and pancakes are just a few items that I love to cook using this pan. Last but not least, are the colorful kitchen knives. They are reasonably priced and help you with all of your slicing and dicing.

Don’t Forget About the Cookbooks

When I meal plan, I like to reference a cookbook to incorporate a new dish or two for the week. I love these cookbooks! They aren’t too complicated and the final product tastes great! I am all about a meal with ingredients that are easy to work with and have a lot of flavor. These recipes have all of that and more!
