December is such a fun and festive month! There’s a lot of fun to be had and memories to be made. Several get-togethers with friends and family with several reminders of being “present” in the moment.

While I love this time of year, I am one to appreciate Thanksgiving and I don’t begin to decorate for Christmas, until after Thanksgiving. I’m always impressed with others that have their holiday decor up early in November. Usually, we put up the tree the weekend of Thanksgiving, but not this year. Yes, it’s the second week of December and I’m just not sure yet when we are going to get that tree set up and decorated. While this may stress many people out, I am quite relaxed about it and know that within the week, I’ll get out my storage boxes of ornaments and the tree from the garage and get to decorating.

Thanks to my husband, we are keeping our neighbors and kids happy with Christmas lights on the house. So fortunately, we don’t look like the Grinch. Ha ha… Even though we haven’t yet decorated, we are well into the holiday spirit and look forward to the rest of the season.

We’ve created our Holiday Bucket List and are looking forward to the adventures that are ahead. Some of the items are more traditional and some will encourage us to get out and about and explore. Take a peek at our list.
