Save the Date - February
There is a lot of fun to be had during the month of February in Arizona. Start planning your adventures!
2/14: Celebrate Arizona’s 111th birthday! Did you know that Arizona is the 6th largest state in the US?
Don’t forget that 2/20 is President's’ Day, so you may have the day to do as you please. If that’s the case, you may want to hit the slopes in Flagstaff or enjoy the gorgeous scenery in Sedona and stay at a bed & breakfast. Weather dependent, this is also a great weekend to head out to camp.
Phoenix
Ok, we know Phoenix has so much fun in store with the Super Bowl and the Waste Management Tour coming to town at the same time. You can count on great food and music throughout the valley.
2/4-2/12: Click here for the go-to place for Super Bowl LVII events. The festivities kick off February 4th.
2/6-2/12: If you’re looking for some fun in the sun get your tickets for the Waste management Phoenix Open. This event is a great time. Expect to watch some golf with a lot of people watching. If you are interested in golf, I highly suggest attending the event earlier in the week. There are a lot less crowds.
Tucson
2/8-2/12 - Have you been to Tubac? It is such a wonderful gem in Arizona. It’s not far from Tucson and this community is full of art. The Tubac Festival of the Arts will be held February 8th - 12th. Over 250 artisans will be in attendance. This is just the event to attend if you are an art lover!
Now until 2/12 - Tucson Gem, Mineral & Fossil Showcase: If you haven’t yet attended this show, it well worth visiting. This is a world-renowned event that draws 65,000 attendees from around the world. You can view precious gems as well as purchase items that catch your eye. Check out all of the event details here.
2/18 - See the stars while attending the Star Party at Catalina State Park. Astronomers from the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association will be onsite to answer questions and discuss celestial objects. The event will be held from 7-9 P.M
2/23 - Are you looking for a little fun during the week? Big Gigantic will be performing at the Rialto Theatre. Big Gigantic puts on a great show, so if you like their music, my vote is that you buy the tickets!
Yuma
2/4 - One of my favorite Yuma events is held the first Saturday of each February and it is the Redondo Dinner & Auction. This event is hosted by the Yuma County Historical Society. All proceeds from this event benefit the future open air agriculture museum that will be built on Madison Ave. The event is sold out, but you can check out the online silent auction and find out how to support the event. There is a something for everyone in the auction!
2/8 - History Under the Stars Dinner : Learn about the history of Yuma while attending this unique dinner at the Sanguinetti House Museum and Gardens. The dinner will feature a delicious menu catered by The Garden Café. Additional dates for the dinners include February 15, March 8 and March 15th. Click here to purchase tickets online. Tickets are $70 per person. Each ticket includes dinner, dessert and one adult beverage.
2/10-2/12 - You know you live in the west, when the rodeo is headed to town. The Silver Spur Rodeo will be here soon. Check out the list of scheduled events here.
2/21-2/23 - The Southwest Ag Summit is the premier agriculture industry event in the desert southwest. The summit has a great line up of speakers, industry leaders and more. It is an event not to miss for those working in agriculture.
Have fun planning out your February and hope it is full of adventure!
