Spring is just around the corner, which means it’s time to get away. If you’ve been listening to the news, you may have been rethinking your spring break, but I say if your healthy and up for it, why not go on an adventure.
This spring, I recommend going to places that are outdoors and allow you to enjoy wide open spaces. Check out a few places in the great state of Arizona to enjoy during spring break.
Visit the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix. This is a great place to spend time and it’s just the right spot for people of all ages.
Spend a half day exploring the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge. Read my blog post prior to heading out.
Get outdoors and go for a hike. A few hikes that I recommend are Piestewa Peak/ Dreamy Draw, which is located in Phoenix and Telegraph Pass. Piestwea Peak offers different paths that allow for a wide range of hikes. Choose the path that’s right for you. Telegraph Pass is a popular hike in Yuma. The views are fabulous at the top and you’re sure to get your workout in with this hike.
See the sights and visit a National Park. Now is is a great time to visit one of the parks in Arizona. Saguaro National Park should have flowers in bloom and you might even see snow if you make it to the Grand Canyon.
Explore the city of Tucson. Read my recommendations on planning a fabulous trip to this great city.
Hop in the car and visit a destination that you’ve had on your bucket list. Is it Horsehoe Bend? Or Antelope Canyon? Visit Arizona has a terrific guide full of information that will help you plan the perfect trip to Antelope Canyon.
I hope you enjoy the beginning of a new season with a little exploration. Whether you stay close to home or get out of town, make the most of it. Don’t forget to snap those photos during your travels!
