Many people take advantage of the warm summer months and do a little traveling. I have rounded up my top favorite travel items. The items that I have selected truly come in handy. So grab your camera, hat, sunscreen and a few of my travel essentials!

Bags

Whether you are hopping in the car for a road trip or catching a flight, you’ll need a great carry-on bag. A bag that can really fit your essentials and is cute. Depending on the trip, I sometimes use my everyday Patagonia Arbor Market Pack. You can fit just what you will need for a quick flight. Your phone, book, light sweater and more will all fit in the backpack. The best part is this option can fit under an airline seat.

A Good Read

Traveling is when I am able to get in a lot of reading time. Download or select that book on your nightstand for your travels. Even if you think you won’t have much time to read, you’ll be happy you brought the book with you, especially when you have unexpected free time.

Some Good Tunes

Download your favorite Spotify playlist, or even better, create your own. I recommend downloading your music, so that even when you don’t have a signal, you’ll still have music. Check out what I’m listening to on Spotify. When traveling on a flight, I do bring along my wireless headphones. Don’t get me wrong, I like meeting my neighbors on the plane, but if I want to take a nap or whatch a show on Netflix, the headphones are a must.

A Few Clothing Essentials

When I travel, I sure like to be comfortable. A graphic tee, jeans and sneakers are what I normally wear when I’m on the go. I also bring a lightweight sweater or jacket with me. You never know when the temperature of a restaurant or plane will be cooler than expected.
