5 Travel Apps to Use in 2024

Fun Fact: I love stopping to see the state signs!

There really is an app for everything these days and I am all about it! I have narrowed down my go-to travel apps that you can benefit from using during your next adventure.

The Apps

  • AAA - If you’re a roadtripper, then you really need that AAA membership and app. There is nothing like that reassurance of having roadside assistance, especially when you’re traveling in the middle of no where. The app also includes features to plan out your road trip. Local attractions, restaurants and more can be added to your itinerary. I also love the feature of the app that includes gas prices at gas stations during your travels.

  • AllTrails - Are you planning to take a hike during your travels? Make sure to download AllTrails to keep you on the right path. This app allows you to download the map onto your phone, so that even if you don’t have cell phone coverage, you can find your way on the right trail.

  • Bonvoy - Select a hotel brand and do your best to stay within that family of brands while traveling. This will allow you to earn incentives for upcoming travel. I suggest Bonvoy. The hotels are clean, the service is nice and there are usually plenty of Bonvoy hotel options to choose from when planning out travel.

  • Expedia - The Expedia app comes in handy for booking car rentals, hotels and flights. This app is useful when comparing prices on hotel and flight sites to see where you can get the best deal. Always check the find print when it comes to cancelation policies.

  • HotelTonight - This app is good to use when you need a hotel for the same day. If you are a spontaneous traveler or your plans change at the last minute, book your room through the app for a great deal.

A few other apps that are essential and I use all of the time even when I am not traveling, include;

  • Google Maps - This map app is a lifesaver! Whether you are planning a trip to get an idea of travel times or need directions to a certain destination, this app is for you.

  • Lyft - Download the Lyft app before heading out on your next destination. Getting a ride to the airport, out to a restaurant or museum can make your day less stressful. Enjoy the ride!

  • Spotify - I use Spotify on the daily to listen to music, podcasts and now even audiobooks.

Don’t forget to also download your airline and your favorite streaming service apps prior to travel!

What is a travel app that you can’t live without?
