Save the Date - December 2023
The last month of the year has arrived! This month I’ve highlighted festive and fun activities in Arizona that are great for all ages.
12/1-12/31 - Las Noches de las Luminarias is back at the Desert Botanical Gardens. Garden lights with luminaria lit walkways light up the gardens. This is a festive event that is available on weekends throughout the month. Tickets should be purchased in advance.
12/8 - If you’re ready for some music, grab tickets to see Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks. They’ll be performing at Chase Field. I am sure you’ll be able to sing along to all of the songs!
12/9 - The Dorothy Young Memorial Electric Light Parade is a popular event for Yuma locals to attend. Spectators line the streets and take in the themed electric light parade floats. Click here for the light parade route.
12/14-12/16 - Complete your holiday shopping at the annual Phoestivus holiday market. This festive market is located Downtown Phoenix on the evenings of December 14th and 15th and then during the day on December 16th. There are incredible vendors that make the event one to remember! Admission is free.
12/16 - The Somerton Tamale Festival is an event I look forward to ALL year long! The event is from 11 am - 12pm on Saturday, December 16th. The event features several tamale booths, live music and more! Purchase tamales and help raise money for scholarships. Proceeds from the event go towards Arizona State University scholarships. It’s a great event and one not to miss!
If you are headed to Northern Arizona, you may be interested in taking a ride on the Polar Express! There are select dates that are still available. I recommend this train ride for families with younger kids and if there is snow in the forecast, it will make it even more special!
Have fun rounding out the last four weeks of 2023 making memories and doing what you enjoy!
