Tis the Season for Giving Back

I am a HUGE believer in giving back! Giving back can be volunteering your time, giving a monetary donation, or even sharing about a cause and how to show support with others.

There are non-profits that cover just about every cause you can think of. I encourage you to think about issues that are important to you, research organizations that support those causes and see how you can help make an impact. Sometimes there is a series like Maid that may encourage you to support a local women’s shelter, or maybe you know that your food bank could use donations. Whatever it might be, non-profits can always use your help.

I really enjoy volunteering my time and involve my children whenever possible so they can see the importance and impact of helping others. I even have a few organizations in mind , where I hope to help when I retire one day (Yes, I know that’s awhile from now).

As we near the end of the calendar year, see which donations fit into your budget. Some non-profits offer tax credits. While you can definitely give throughout the year, November is a great time to give. Tuesday, November 30, 2021 is Giving Tuesday this year, which isa day dedicated to supporting non-profits.

If you are looking for non-profits to support, I have listed some of the organizations that I support below. Throughout the year, I give my time, make monetary donations, donate items to thrift stores that support a cause and donate silent auction baskets to organizations.

  • Amberly’s Place - Family advocacy facility that supports victims of child abuse, domestic violence, elderly abuse and sexual assault

  • Arizona Community Foundation of Yuma - Provides support to various causes in the community
