Tips For a Quick Stop in St. George, Utah
There is so much to see in southern Utah and it is helpful to break up the driving time so you get a decent amount of driving time in, while still having time to explore the area upon your arrival. St. George, Utah makes for a great location to stay when traveling on Interstate 15. I’ve gathered a few tips for a short stop in St. George.
Travel Tips
When it comes to road trips, I highly recommend booking a place to stay in advance. It’s always reassuring to know you have a bed calling your name when you arrive. St. George has several hotel brands. I suggest booking a room at the Courtyard Marriott. It has all of the amenities that you need and is located in a convenient location.
Take a walk downtown St. George and check out the local restaurants and shops. The area has a charming atmosphere with friendly faces.
Pick up breakfast at Pinkbox Donuts. You’ll thank me for this recommendation! They have delicious donuts with all kinds of creative toppings.
Cool off by floating the Virgin River.
If you are planning a trip to visit Zion National Park, St. George is just 30 minutes from the park entrance. During busy seasons, you’ll have an easier time booking a hotel stay in St. George then closer to the park.
St. George worked out so well for an overnight stop for us and think that you’ll find it is a quiet, convenient stop that has all that you need and more. FYI… They have a Target and the next closest store location is in Las Vegas. This serves as a great place to stock up on any travel necessities you may have forgotten.
